Overview

EYVA is looking for a Manufacturing Partners Development & Management Specialist who will be responsible for onboarding suitable and reliable supplier(s), capable of fulfilling current and future requirements and future exigencies. You should be always safeguarding business continuity and optimising procurement cost and efficiencies and ensuring that vendors fulfil their contractual obligations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identification, qualification and partnership with manufacturing vendors.
  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  • Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
  • Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.
  • Establishing standards to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them. Ensuring quality, reliability and availability of materials as per business requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies. Controlling cost, reducing potential risks related to vendors, ensuring excellent service deliverability and deriving value payments. Carrying out sample quality inspection of newly developed parts & from vendors in the long-run. Ensuring timely booking of vendor invoices and providing necessary feedback to vendors to ensure quality control.

Who we're looking for:

  • B Tech/BE - Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-10 yrs of experience working with a product company (preferably a D2C in consumer electronics)
  • Proven experience of Vendor Development & Management in a manufacturing environment.
  • You should have a clear understanding of machine components, manufacturing process and costing.
  • You must have good knowledge of GRN documents, Invoice value, GST, HSN code, E-way bill etc.
  • You should have good knowledge of Purchase order, Payment Terms and Delivery terms, International Commercial terms etc.
  • Understanding of various manufacturing processes like casting/press parts/ Machine parts and forgings is necessary.
  • Must understand supplier Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Must be working closely with the Production and Quality Team and develop vendors accordingly.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation, management and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to travel for work.
